Grandville, MI was established in 1833 and made a city in 1933!  It is approximately 8 miles from Grand Rapids and located on the south western side of Kent County.  It is approximately 8 square miles in size.

One thing that Grandville is well known for, is having one of the largest shopping malls in the area, Rivertown Crossings.  Rivertown Crossings is open every day of the week, with the exceptions of some holidays.   They have everything from wifi to stroller rentals, a movie theater, and a food court!  Some of our favorite stores that they have are Express, Kohl’s, Macy’s, Banana Republic, and Aldo!  Don’t forget to head on over to Bath and Body works to stock up on your fall scents as the seasons change!

Another great place to shop is an incredible store called Changing Thymes.  They have two locations, on Chicago Drive and off of Wilson!  Changing Thymes is a unique and wonderful shoppings experience from antiques to refurbished furniture and more!  They have multiple booths set up within their large stores for many different types of retail.  You can get anything from Charlie’s Chips, to a new kitchen table to eat them off of!  They are open Monday-Friday from 10-7…except for Tuesdays when they are closed from 10-2 so their vendors can restock!  They also have Sunday hours from 12-6!  They want you to know that they have a new phone number that you can leave a message at…it’s 616-617-0593.  They have many events coming up which are listed on their blog—you can find this link at the bottom of this page.  Coming up is their huge birthday sale Sept 29-Oct 1st!

Do you love the sport of Golf?  Head to Maple Hill!  They are a huge golf store, driving range, and golf course located off of Ivanrest!  They offer lessons, memberships, and even have golf simulators.  You can also shop them online as well as in store.  They have hired the best to help you find everything from the perfect outfit to the perfect set of clubs.  You will be warmly greeted as soon as you walk in the door!  Head out to the course before Michigan’s winter arrives!

Next, we have Osgood Brewing!  “We are a craft brewery, and our approach is all about style, creativity, diversity, quality, and flavor (website).”  They have a beautiful patio that you can sit on while the weather is still nice, and a stylish interior for when the cooler weather arrives!  Their friendly and outgoing staff will be sure to take good care of you.  You can try a flight, or fill up a growler of your favorite beer!  With a variety of beers on tap, you are sure to find something delicious!  We love their IPA’s for summer or their stouts for the winter!  Head on in and find your favorite!

For the kids, check out the amazing KDL Library of Grandville!  It’s knowledgeable staff can help you find the perfect book.  There are sculptures outside and comfortable seating inside to relax and let your imagination go!  In the parking lot of the Library, there is a Farmer’s Market every Tuesday from 9am-1pm, June through October!  Check it out for fresh and locally grown fruits, vegetables, and more!  Try Green Thumb Acres or Steele Family Farm!

Last, stop by one of the gorgeous community parks Grandville has!  There are so many and all have great features!  Some of the many parks are Wedgewood Park, Heritage Park, Calvin Crest Park, Buck Creek Trail, and the Grand River Pathway!

In conclusion, Grandville is an outstanding community that offers parks, breweries, shopping, and more!  We encourage you to visit for an afternoon and enjoy this community here in beautiful West Michigan!
